Who inspires you?
I am inspired by fellow artists in all mediums. I am always searching for an interesting shape or color combination in paper, textiles or ceramics that will translate well into polymer clay.
A polymer clay artist that I admire is Celie Fago - I love how she mixes polymer clay with different metals and other mediums and there are too many others that inspire me to mention.
I am also inspired by my almost grown sons, one of whom is an artist and the other a musician and by my husband who inspires me to be the best I can be.

What inspires you?
I am inspired by color and texture in nature and in art. Although I pride myself on a smooth glass-like finish with my jewelry, I also love a more rough, organic finish. I hope to experiment more in the new year as well as learn some new techniques. As much as I don’t like to, I know I must step outside of what I know and try new things.
Where do you create?
I’ve just finished my new studio/office this summer. It is a small room but has enough space for a work table and computer desk, lots of storage and plants and girlie stuff (in a house full of boys!). It is my sanctuary.
How long have you been working with polymer clay?
I started working with polymer clay about four years ago. Not being able to find the right focal beads for my beading, I turned to clay to make more of a personal statement and have been working with it ever since. I enjoy trying other things as well, but I think I will stick mostly with the clay (no pun intended) because it is just so versatile. If I want to make a clock, some jewelry or cover a vase or create a sculpture, I know I only need one thing and that is the clay. I feel so lucky to have found it!
